I Heart California

By Mom | February 10, 2009

It’s winter but no one would know it by these pictures.  Ventura is a wonderful city to live in.  Our family made it out to the beach during a recent freakish hot spell.

Daddy and Grace were having fun in the sand making sand castles.

Our TV tube recently busted and we were out of a big TV.  We were actually all very productive the week without TV.  Grace was missing her shows however.  So we let her watch a few movies on the laptop.

During Superbowl weekend Grace got to experience 3D vision for the first time with the 3D movie promo that played after the second quarter.

It’s taken me 3 years, but Grace finally let me put clips in her hair without her wanting to take them out.  Unfortunately, she wanted ALL her clips in her hair at the same time.

Back view.

Grace also learned how to iron clothes thanks to Yaya.  Mommy never irons her clothes and she was tired of wrinkles so she really wanted to do it herself.

Grace didn’t even mind that the iron wasn’t plugged in.  He he.

I’ve been trying to take pictures of Grace’s artwork to preserve them in case we decide not to keep them later on.  I was able to make a nice Christmas gift recently for the grandparents of Grace’s artwork for the past two years.  Here’s a few more pieces she’s made while at pre-school.

This past weekend was a rainy one so we tried to keep Grace busy with arts and crafts.  Mommy and Daddy bought Grace a big box of craft projects to do for these types of days.

Tissue art.

Playdoh art.

Crazy Chicken art.

Wacky Pig art.

My little artiste at work.

After she got bored with the crafty stuff, we resorted to pulling out the old foam letters.  Daddy helped Grace make a fort.

G is for Grace.  See you later alligators.
