Thumbelina
By Mom | November 11, 2009
This year Grace was Thumbelina Barbie for Halloween. It’s a cute little fairy with wings and she loves the movie. We almost convinced her to be Cleopatra but she changed her mind as soon as she saw the fairy costume at Target.
She’s was getting very excited for Halloween to arrive. It began with the decorations on the house and she would ask, “Is it Halloween yet?”. No, I would say, not yet, but very soon. Then we carved a jack-o-lantern and she again asked, “Is it Halloween yet?”. Almost. She did a great job on her Jasmine Princess pumpkin.

Daddy did a great job carving it out after Grace and I punch holes with the template.

Then her school held a Halloween parade and party. All the kids in the school walked around from class to class displaying their cute costumes. Mommy, Daddy, and Cole also got to watch on.

After the parade it was party time!

And a little dancing of course.

Brother Cole joined the festivities. He couldn’t pass up all the goodies on the tables.

After the school party she asked once again if it was Halloween yet. Poor little girl must think we were torturing her. Just one more day! We then headed off to Papa and Yaya’s house to do some trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. Grace was excited to finally get to get some candy!

But we can’t go just yet! We must take pictures! You can see her patience is running thin.

Whew! We did a lot of trick-or-treating that night. Grace and Cole filled their baskets to the top with candy. So now that Halloween is over what do you think Grace is asking me now? “Is it my birthday yet?”. Oh, boy.
