How to Make Sweet-Smelling Play Dough

By Mom | May 22, 2009

In the latest issue of Grace’s  kids magazine, High Five, it teaches parents how to make sweet smelling playdough.

Vegetable oil, flour, salt, cream of tartar, and kool-aid mix (flavor of your choice)

1) Mix together 2 cups of water, drink mix, and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.

2)  In a sauce pan, mix together 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 4 teaspoons of cream of tartar.

3) Slowly add the liquid to the pot.  Stir.

4) Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it looks like mashed potatoes.  Remove the dough from the pot to cool.

5) When the dough is cool, knead it until it’s smooth.  This sweet-smelling dough will last a long time if you store it in a covered container.  Enjoy!
